🌴 Spacious Townhome – Walk to World-Class Beaches and Local Favorite Restaurants & Bars!

Near to beach - great value! Positive: Walkable to the beach and at a good location. Everything was neat and clean. Negative: There is no 2 bathrooms. It’s 1.5 bathroom. It was difficult with 6 people to use a single one for bath.

Positive: The unit was fine. We checked in without any difficulty. Very warm in the unit and the living room unit was really loud and dirty. There were wet towels stuffed inside the beach chairs. The really big problem was the driveway. The first night we were walking to the beach and I fell in a big hole in the driveway and really hurt myself. Hyper extended my right arm and hurt both of my knees. There were no outdoor lights to light our way so it was really hard to miss it. Very dangerous. Negative: holes in Driveway. Fell and hyper extended my rt arm and elbow and hurt and skinned both knees. NO LIGHT to see the raised concrete and big hole that my foot got caught into. Fell flat down. Very Dangerous.

N/A Positive: Close to all activities, beaches foods areas. Negative: When you come to the door  smell like a old rug, light and ceiling fan on the leaving room floor is not working.

1 king and 2 queen beds, great for a family to spread out a bit. The kitchen is very well equipped if you want to do some real cooking. Beware that the washer and dryers are small so you can only really wash four towels at a time. I wouldn’t bring small children here as the noise would travel easily and you would be subject to noise violations during the quiet hours. You are 40 minutes from Lahaina, 50 mins to Kaanapali, 20 minutes to the airport and 10 minutes to wailea. There are lots of good food and beach options within walking distance. The unit is stocked with beach chairs and boogeyboards. When our tub was clogged, the owner arranged for a plumber to come the next day to take care of it. Great communication with the owner.

Katie’s is an excellent host. Fast replies to any email inquiry. Bedding configuration allows for large groups, but note rooms don’t have lots of space remaining, especially if used to their maximum capacity. Location is perfect, walking distance to Charley Young Beach. Kitchen is stocked with all mains items. Everything was working properly inside the unit. Two things that costs this review a star: 1- The checkout instructions require to take all used towels and start the washer upon leaving. While we did understand why the owner requests this (to allow cleaners to have enough time to clean & dry sheets), at US$395 for Cleaning fees, at this cost travellers should never have to start any laundry (otherwise: lower the cleaning fees). Also, it raised questions if the towels were properly washed prior to our arrival (did preceding travellers put enough soap, was it overloaded and did it washed properly?). Note that if the condo is used to its maximum capacity, good luck trying to put all used towels inside one load as washer is just too small. 2- Quiet times policy should be reviewed. They are signs posted on the main floor (along with other important notices) and also upstairs (bedrooms level) along with fees of $250 for each violation. While it’s clear it means no loud noise/music outside, that notice upstairs was little too much. We didn’t had any issues, even if we woke up and left the unit early on a few days, but quiet times from 8pm to 8am is just not reasonable as it covers half of a 24hrs period. We understand the walls might be thin, but how the property was built isn’t the fault of responsible travellers. This might work out for families with young kids, but again not reasonable for most.
